The brief on this project was to create a sunroom/conservatory/bar space at the rear of a large period detached house. It also acts as a connecting space between the kitchen/dining and the main living rooms. The developed design maximises light with a fully structural glass roof which is supported on a system of bespoke metal brackets and striking Douglas Fir beams. The highly contemporary design relates to the original house using brickwork (to match on the outside and white-washed internally) and through the hipped roof form of the structural glass.
