Teddington House –
Extension and refurbishment
This project was a complete refurbishment and extension of a two storey house in Teddington, South West London. It involved major internal restructuring and repair of the existing building. The rear extension comprised a two-storey and single storey section. Both roofs featured a concealed guttering system, highlighting the form of the brickwork additions. These are in keeping with the house, yet carried out in a modern language. The deep timber frame structure allows for high amounts of insulation and the existing building was retro-fitted to increase energy efficiency. Large amounts of south light are brought in through patio doors and a timber frame conservatory element. In memory of Theresa Rowe.
